Hi,

If you referring to new DBSS flat from developer, you are eligible to purchase if you have bought a subsidized flat only once (ie. Resale Flat with Grant / BTO ) before. If you are referring to resale DBSS, not an issue, you are eligible to purchase as long as you have met the MOP of 5 years for current flat and are able to form a family nucleus.

May I know which DBSS are you referring to? May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

DBSS are considered as HDB unit and they are unlike EC. Therefore, you will be required to sell your HDB unit within 6 months from key collection.

To clarify and add on, either way you have to sell your current flat as DBSS is considered a hdb flat. No household can have 2 hdb flats at any one point of time. Thanks Read More

Dear Sir/Mdm,

DBSS is essentially a HDB flat and therefore you will NOT be able to hold on to 2 HDB flats at the same time. I would not advise you to purchase a DBSS flat as the price are higher as compared to normal HDB flat within the same location. The premium finishing that the developer promised have fell short of expectations on many occasions.

Hi,

DBSS is considered public housing, and you cannot hold your current flat if you go ahead with your DBSS purchase.

What are your reasons for buying a DBSS? Unless it's for personal or sentimental reasons, I do not recommend you to go for a DBSS. If you have the budget for a DBSS, you would be better off considering an EC or even a private condominium.

Good morning buyer,

I am afraid to inform you that you will have to dispose off your existing flat latest within 6 months from purchase completion date as resale HBB is regarded as a HDB. A household cannot own two HDBs at any one time.

If you are referring to new DBSS, you can purchase one as long as you have fulfilled the minimum occupation period of your existing flat. But do take note that you will be subject to resale levy if you have obtained housing grant or purchase directly from HDB before.
