I am asking for a friend, he is SC and wife is a PR.Joint name and bought BTO last year, still waiting for flat completion. the friend of mine got a job offer overseas recently and his wife will be travelling together with him. According to him, the stay overseas may be a long term one, and his wife might lose her pr status after exiting the country for certain number of years. would like to ask what is the possible outcome? will they be forced to sell the flat back to hdb? or they can appeal to sell it before the MOP.
