My team is make up of nothing more than 8 members so as to prevent the same issue that you have faced.
It's easy to choose any company to start the business but without guidance, you are flying solo and possibly, blind.
Having experience in the industry does help you, in terms of guiding, but the ability to lead makes a difference.
I believe you prefer to be coached than to be teached. You have taken the right first step but in a wrong company. It's time you choose for yourself correctly before losing it again.

You might to consider interview with all agencies and find out their incentives, comms structure, it support, group support, rank structure, overriding structure, promotion criteria, and future promotion criteria Etc important factors.

Hi EL,

1st, you should seek referrals from your friends or cobrokers that you had work well with. Face to face meeting up with the leaders is of paramount importance as you can have a better feel and understanding of their culture, values and commitment . Write down all doubts/questions you have so that you won't miss out on some important points when meeting up. You should take your time to anaylse after the meeting which agency or leader to join if you are taking long term view of the real estate biz.

Many new agents make the same mistake of joining a friend or a friend's friend. Others didn't bother to meet up with more leaders and jin the first agency thei visit. You should go around and meet afew more leaders who are recruiting and find one that you are comfortable with.
