Asked by
I am a SC with a foreigner spouse and a 1 year old SC child. We are intending to get a hdb resale flat for a bigger unit.

Understand that under HDB scheme, we can opt in for both non-citizen spouse or public (me and my child).

Assuming we apply the HDB under non-citizen spouse, it will be me as the owner and my foreigner spouse as the essential occupier. In this case, are we required to list our child as the occupier? Or can we not list the child as the occupier?

Thank you.

Hi,

Based on your profile, you qualify under "Public Scheme", with both your foreign spouse and SC child as the essential occupiers.

This is also beneficial to you, as you may get the full grant, instead of half-grants.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.
