Asked by
I am a SC single mother below 35yo and gotten approval to apply for a 3 room flat BTO in non mature estate. (Under public scheme, EHG - single and required to pay a premium of $15,000 as first timer single)

I already booked my flat with approval on provisional basis. Now i am waiting for the appointment to sign agreement for lease.
BTO estimated possession date is Q3 of 2025.

Currently i am in a relationship, however, he is a work permit holder.
I would like to know how it will affect my BTO application if things goes well and marriage is considered.

Will HDB reject my application if i got married before key collection?

If HDB don’t reject my application as i have a child who is a SC, forming a family nucleus. Do i have to include him in my flat application listing after ROM? - currently he is renting a room, we are not living together.
If required, do i have to list him as co-owner or occupier is ok?

Hi,

1) The HDB gives you the green light is based on your current situation. Thus will not change even if your marital status changed.
2) If your bf is an SC or SPR, they can be a co-owner or occupier.
3) If your bf is a foreigner, he can only be an occupier and not as a co-owner, because a foreigner cannot be an owner of an HDB flat.
4) You may list him as occupier after marriage.
