i am a prospective buyer. An exclusive seller agent told me that another prospective buyer is offering COV $40k. is there any way i can verify this independently that this is true? Means if i want i will need to offer COV more than 40k. i am fine to pay more than 40k but could it be the case whereby this so-called prospective buyer actually doesn't exist at all and is just made up?

Hi,

1) Buying property is willing buyers and willing sellers.
2) You don't need to verify whether it is true from the agent, if you are willing to offer more you can offer.
3) If you feel doubt about the agent's claim, you can just walk away from the deal.
