It should be possible, you can do HFE first to see what amount of loan you can get as well as if it goes through.

1) Yes, you and your son can apply to buy together under the Public Scheme.
2) Your spouse will be the essential occupier.
3) All of your names must be in the HFE application.
4) Since your son is below 35 years old, you won't be eligible for any grants for this purchase.
5) You will be eligible for an HDB loan.
