I am a HDB resale buyer. There is a chance that I may have to travel overseas for work for a few months after executing the OTP. Understand that I can get a solicitor to prepare a POA for someone to act on my behalf during the first and second appointment.

My question is this: Are there any documents that require me to personally sign, even with a POA in place?

Afternoon,

You can engage a lawyer to act on your behalf along with the POA. The POA should clearly indicate the responsibility assigned. In the case that your signatory is really needed, the lawyer can courier the documents to you and you can have it inked in the presence of Notory Public before courier it back to the law firm.

Do feel free to contact me should you require any assistance.

Hi, the moment you have appointed a POA and sign the document at the law firm before you travel overseas, there would not be any other document for you to sign and you could therefore travel in peace.

Hi, as long as you appointed a POA and signed all the document needed before your travel, the rest of the document may sign by your POA. You may rest assure and travel with peace.

Should you have any queries, feel free to contact me at my mobile no. I would gladly be of a service to you.
Happy New Year!
