As this requires part share of HDB to be transferred, this has to be approved by HDB, therefore it is best to check with HDB on this subject matter.

Hi,

1) You shall be eligible to own interest in an HDB flat with your SC spouse once you receive your SPR status.
2) This has nothing to do with whether you are supporting in servicing the monthly mortgage.
3) You will still need to do a part-sale from your spouse by then.
4) This is assuming that your spouse is willing to sell a certain share of the HDB he owned.
5) The buying and selling process is the same as the normal buying and selling of the whole flat.
6) If you receive your SPR status before the flat meets MOP, then you will need to seek special approval from the HDB in order to do so.
7) You don't need to engage a lawyer to draft any agreement over this.
