The maximum loan buyers are eligible for will be at 75% of the purchase price, but this is subject to the assessment of buyer's financial profile. In essence, it will be important to find out how much 1 can loan first before starting the home search. The good news is that US citizen enjoys the same tax considerations as a Singapore Citizen when purchasing a property in Singapore. This means that you do not need to pay the Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty that other foreign buyers pay if this is your first residential property in Singapore.

The tricky aspects here will be how to have your income recognise by the financial institutions here in Singapore, assuming that yours is an offshore income from Singapore.
