I am a buyer who have completed my first appointment and will be attending my second appointment soon. During inspection of the flat, I notice there's some leakage in the ceiling. Should I or the seller be responsible for fixing the leakage? I feel should be the seller as I am not yet the legal owner of the flat. Does HDB needs to be invlove in the inspection? What else should I take note of during the inspection? Can I postpone the second appointment the seller refuse to fix the ceiling leak?

HDB officer will usually come and inspect the place once submission of resale net application. If there's anything wrong with the property, HDB officer would have looked into it and tell seller what needs to be done before completion. Read More
