I am a 48 years old single with CPF ordinary account of about $30k. My monthly basic salary is $2200. With my current financial status, I wonder whether I could buy a resale 3-room HDB flat without the need of me to come out with any cash payment. The range of flat price I'm looking at are $220k - $280k. I am a first time buyer.

Except cash for the OTP, agent fee and other administration fees, is there any cheapest 3-room unit for me that I need not have to fork out cash payment for the unit selling price..? I'm not talking about renovation and furnishing.
Hi Zaini,

1) If you are SC, you are eligible for HDB loan. Max loan is 90% of valuation limit.
2) 10% can be comprise of your CPF OA, grants etc. It means you need not fork out any cash for the house purchase.
3) If you are not eligible to HDB loan, than the oly to finance the purchase is to use the bank loan. Maximum loan is 75% only. Minimum cash is 5% of the purchase price. 20% can be of cash and/or CPF.

With your current finance status, you should be fine to go ahead to apply for HLE on HDB website before starting your house search.
Good luck on your home search!!!
