Hi,

1) I assume you are referring to the pledging of the HDB flat to the CPF to fulfill the FRS.
2) If you read the CPF website carefully, you will read this:
(a) Need to maintain FRS in SA if no property.
(b) Need to maintain BRS in SA if own a property.
The above is not the exact wording from the CPF. I simplified the statement for easy understanding.

3) You won't need to pledge your HDB flat when you reach 55 years old. The CPF is not doing it anyway.
4) You only need to do the pledging when you reach 65 years old. So by then, you definitely would have fully paid for your flat.

5) You may make an appointment with the CPF to understand more from the experts.
