How do you go about owning Singaporean property as a single under the age of 35? I understand private properties are my only option and the cheapest properties go for approx $600k?

Is it possible to own any other type of properties with siblings/friends/other relatives?

Yes, private properties are your only option for a single under the age of 35 as even for resale HDB, you need to be 35 years of age. Or you can consider commercial properties with your siblings/friends/other relatives. Feel free to contact me at 93855005  for further advice. Cheers! Read More

Dear Sir/Mdm,

It is always good to start investing early. If affordability is an issue, you can get your like-minded relatives or friends to invest together. In this way, you can explore a property which is of a higher quantum. The profits in the future can then be split among the owners.

Residential property is a good option as it can be easily rented out and you may use the rental income to offset the mortgage payment.

Yes for singles under 35 years, private property is the only option. If affordability is the issue, you can jointly invest with your friends/relatives/siblings. You can consider investing in growth areas where future infrastructure plans are announced, and exit options are available in the time horizon. Property investment is typically a good hedge for inflation and allows one to put the CPF OA monies to further use.
