How do we ensure the price that we and the seller agreed upon isn't that far from the eventual evaluation? We do not wish to have to pay a lot of cash if the evaluation happens to be very much lower than the price we agreed upon.

Hi Nura, No one will be able to ensure the above scenario. Just like private properties, there is no prior valuation done in most of the transactions that take place. More importantly is due diligence carried out to find out the past prices and make judgement accordingly. Morning Nora Aini, This is something that you need to work on as nobody can give you the confirmed valuation price till it's done. Calculated risk need to be taken along with informed judgement. I'm sure someone who have intention to DIY their own purchase would be equipped with this basis knowledge or you can engage a salesperson to assist you accordingly.
