Housing grant is disbursed to both me (core owner) and my partner (core occupier), however, is it true that my partner will not be able to use that grant to offset the balance since my partner is not the owner?

And for the HDB loan amount is it solely based off my income assessment and that my partner's income will not be taken into consideration?

Hi

Yes that is correct, the grants are disbursed to both you the owner and the core occupier equally. And since your partner is not the owner, his/her grant can't be used for the housing purchase. Similarly the loan is based on your income and age only, and his/her income is not recognized for loan purposes.

Hope the above clarifies. I am well-versed with HDB and private property transactions, having helped more than 100 home-owners to smoothly complete their housing plans. Please reach out to me at 97432395  for a more in-depth discussion :)

May I have more info on your requirements so as to make better recommendations? Thanks and looking forward to chat more
