Whether can you add in the occupier or not, you will need to check with HDB directly, question is why are you looking to add occupier in this case?

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 13 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

If you are looking to add an occupier to your HDB resale flat, HDB will look at your current income at the time of application. This is because the income ceiling is based on your household income at the time of the application to add the occupier, and not on the income you declared during the purchase of your flat.

It's important to note that if your household income exceeds the income ceiling after adding the occupier, you may be required to pay a resale levy if you decide to sell your flat in the future. Additionally, if you are still within the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP), you will need to meet the eligibility criteria for adding an occupier as set out by HDB.

I recommend that you contact HDB directly for specific information about your situation and the eligibility criteria for adding an occupier to your HDB resale flat.

let us discuss over a friendly chat over phone or meet up physically with a cup of your favourite drink and see if it is workable. Looking Forward to chat / meet up with you Soon :)
