Hi,we are both married singaporeans with one child,Im 35 and my wife is 33 years old.just curious will the upcoming EC launches be cheaper next year 2014?after talking to bankers,we found out that with MSR ,we can only loan 410k but with tdsr our loan will be about 770k for private condo.We have only 140k cpf and 80k cash.looking a least 2 bedder.Is it true that the price of 3 bedder EC is cheaper than 2 bedder private condo?

Good afternoon, You should be able to afford a new 2 bedder EC, while 3 bedders might not be possible with MSR. Normally new 2 bedder EC costs around $600k. the cost breakdown will be as such: 5% cash downpayment - $30k 15% cpf downpayment - $90k buyer's stamp duty - $12.6k legal fees - $3k mortgage stamp duty - $550 valuation: $200 +/- As there are quite a number of EC being launched in 2013, its expected to be fewer EC launches in 2014. Prices wise, no one is certain at the moment. Normally new EC are priced cheaper than private condos of about the same size that are in the same area. Hope it helps!
