Hi,My probable completion date for a 4 room flat Is Oct 2017,but as for now my HLE approved amount is S$163,000 as my wife currently not working as im having twin babies and its very costly to sent to the Infant care, and plus AHG S$60,000,balance purchase price is S$302,000 after downpayment.but my wife can only work at least late January or early February..as for now..what is the longest length of month i can extend to collect my keys or any ways i can appeal for financial assistance to collect my keys and pay the balance price.and will submit again myself and my wife total income to Hdb in the future. Im a first time buyer. We Would really want to take this flat the only issue that my wife Can't work due to no one to babysit our babies till at least late jan or feb..Please Advice.Thanks alot

Hi Mr Syed Nabil,

From your descriptions, it seems to be a BTO purchase. And at the point of HLE application, your wife properly was working then.

With all the figures provided, it is obvious that there are no way you can cough out $302k in this short period to make the payment.

You may approach HDB to delay the key collection, but still it is a long way before you can get enough.

There are 2 choices here, to give up the flat or request to switch to a smaller flat in the same area and see whether this is possible.
