Hi,

You can apply for in-principle bank loan approval which is valid from 1 month to 3 months across different banks. The banks will access based on your current liability which includes your current mortgage if not fully paid off.

You can start to look for buyers and aim for completion of sales for your HDB just after MOP. It usually take 1 to 3 months for marketing and another 3 months for completion of sales.

Hi EC upgrader,

You have to take note that you can only ISSUE option to purchase after your MOP date. Thus I will advise you to start marketing your unit probably 1 month before MOP date (Dec 2013). Because if you market your unit too early, you also cant issue OTP which might irritate your potential buyers.

Btw do you have any accommodation in mind after your HDB sale towards the completion of new EC?

FYI validity of in principle approval is around 1 month nowadays. Thus I will advise you to do so just before you start to hunt for new EC.
