Dear sir/madam, If you were to ask me, I would feel that it is definitely a stretch for you to afford an EC given the income level. Cash would likely be involved in the servicing of loans as CPF contribution should be insufficient to do that based on a $4k income. On top of that, you will need to take care of your day to day expenses, not forgetting if you have elderly parents or children to take care of. Based on your scenario, if the bank is about to support a loan maximum of $468,000. You should be able to afford Forestville ec 3 bedrm 1033 sqft $729,000. This is assuming that you do not have any outstanding debts, loan and your effective age is below 40 years. You will be taking a bank loan amounting to about 64% of the property under the nps scheme. Your monthly instalments will be about $2400 per month and you may use your cpf for partial repayments. Please feel free to contact me at 8182 4811  if you are keen to know more or book the unit.
