Hi, we are a family of 5 (in addition, with a helper) and have a combined income of $14450. What is the rate of success of appealing to purchase an EC? We are actually looking at a 4 bedroom unit, Waterwoods EC. The reason being we would need to sell our HDB (beside buangkok mrt) to finance the purchase and we need to be certain of the chance of approval.

Good morning Rosniati,

As the project is obtaining its TOP soon and still have some balance units, your appeal should have a fair chance of success.

I will advise you to get in touch with your HDB branch office and developer (enquiries@singholdings.com) first to request for exemption from income ceiling before proceeding with your property sale.

No one will be able to advise the rate of success for any appeal as it is always done on a case by case basis. There is no harm trying to appeal since you will not act on anything else until you have a confirmed outcome for your appeal submitted.
