As you are married, you can only purchase the HDB unit with your spouse. And by doing so, she will be required to sell away the EC within 6 months from key collection of the HDB unit.

Do take note that if you have to form a family nucleus with your wife so you can purchase a resale HDB. But by doing so, she has to dispose off her interest in the private property.

You might want to consider to purchase a private property for your parents as an alternative.
