Hi,

Spouse & myself are sg-sg.

We currently own a HDB as joint-owners but are thinking of decoupling (by gift) so that make either one of us can be the sole-owner and free the other to buy pte property wo absd

1.) what is payable and the rate - stamp duty, legal fees...?

2.) need market valuation? it is as a gift...

3.) can we take loan to repay the other cpf + interests?

Yes valuation report will need to be done. Stamp duty is also liable and hdb fees. Is your current house fully paid up?

Yes hdb admin fees are liable. To be exact on what is payable, more details are needed. May I know is your hdb fully paid? Has the 5 year MOP been met? The cpf utilized + accrued interest of outgoing owner needs to be returned him/her. It is better if we discuss further on how best to approach this based on your current portfolio and objectives. Hi Faith,

For the current HDB, are you servicing it using bank loan or HDB loan? If you are servicing it using a bank loan, HDB will not allow you to decouple.

Legal fees and stamp duties are payable. You will also need to do a valuation.
