Hi residents of springbloom,

I'm keen to purchase a unit here but read about the radiation concerns from satellites dish located at New Tech Park. Did NEA send anyone to test the radiation level over different periods of the day? Reason being the radiation level from satellites varies throughout the day depending if the broadcast is on or off. I called the managing agent in New Tech Park to check how many satellites dish are being hosted there, they tried to evade the questions.

As most people may think that most things are well governed in Singapore, we should not relax on the issue pertaining to radiation as there are lapses surfacing. For instance, one company applies for one satellite dish, it is easy to grant approval.

But there are more than more one broadcast agencies in New Tech Park. Will an accumulated amount of these satellites emits radiation level that is above normal range?

Shall we approach the MP to garner traction in verifying this?

Hi Grace, satellite dish on Earth is a passive device that is constructed so big in order to receive signals transmitted from our space orbit satellite. The level of signal transmitted from the space satellite to New Tech Park is the same islandwide, whether you are near the dish or not. So please don't worry ;-) Read More
