Hi property guru,

I am renting a flat to a company (Company lease).
My tenant has a diplomatic clause.
After 13 months of rental he informed me that he wants to terminate the contract.

Question: The tenancy agreement started on the 19th.
He send me the letter of termination on the 18th.
Till which date he has to pay rental?
Till the 18th of two months after the letter (as in the TA) or till the 17th (two months from the date of his termination notice)?

Hi Giofelice,

When your tenancy starts on the 19th of the month .. it should end on 18th of the expiry or request month irrespective of when the letter is dated.

Diplomatic clause - yes , after 12 months with 2 months notice..
