Hi Property guru expert, need some advice on my situation. Currently, I co-owned a 5rm flat with my wife which will MOP this Year. We are thinking of selling it and upgrade to a 2 bedroom EC in the same area. However, recently my wife just deliver and now I really having a headache as to whether we stay put at the 5rm flat or upgrade to DBSS / EC. Things I am considering:

1. Is a 2 bedroom EC big enough for the 3 of us vs a 5rm HDB?
2. How much cash need to dump back into the new EC purchase? And if purchase EC, does it mean we will be cash strap?
3. Should we downgrade to a 3 or 4 room HDB instead?

Any advice will be great. Thanks.
