To be able to use HDB Enhanced contra facilities.
Firstly, the contra party must be using HDB loan for both the selling and buying the next flat.
At any one time, It limit to 1 contra party for the link transcation. ( submit the 2-cases, the buying and selling flats together under the link case or contra case).
In short, The contra party is using the sale proceed of the existing flat sold (CPF & Cash) to off-set and make payment for their next purchased flat.
The advantage is to minimum cash outlay.
These are common for downgrading of flat.
But beware, The timing are cruical which give little time for the contra party to renovate or moving out and into the next purchased flat.
