Hi! My spouse and I are interested in applying for a bto in the future but I am not sure whether I am considered a first timer or a second timer.

We applied for bto before and paid the $2000 deposit but forfeited it and bought a resale instead. There is no subsidy grant attached to this current resale. With that in mind, are we considered first timer or second timer if we will to apply for a bto in the future?

Hi

From the situation you described, it seems that you have met the 1 year debarment period from the date you cancelled your BTO. Since you did not take any grant for your current resale flat, you will be considered as a first timer applicant and even get to enjoy first timer grant without needing to pay a resale levy. I am well-versed in HDB transactions. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this,

Hi,

1) According to your description you did not actually enjoy the subsidized flat as you only completed the booking process in your BTO purchase.
2) Next is you didn't apply for any grant on your resale flat purchase, again did not enjoy any subsidize.
3) Therefore you are still considered 1st timer in your future BTO application.
