Hi. My question is i am thinking of selling my 5 room in chai chee rd and buying a 5 room in pasir ris tampines or simei. My existing loan to hdb is about 150,000. I bought this flat for 505,000 before 40,000 grant for having my parents live in with me.This flat is about 20 yrs old and i have been living in this flat about 12 yrs. My intent is to pocket an estimate of $40,000 from the transaction. Is this possible? The new flat should be near a mrt.

Evening,

I have recently managed to sell a unit at Blk 80X at $660k, which is located on higher floor. Assuming that you are getting the same selling price and purchasing at 5 room flat at $600k, to pocket $40k cash should not be an issue if you managed to get 80% loan.
