Hi, my partner and I have a HFE letter which is expiring on 17 Oct 24. We have used it to apply for a sale of balance flat in Feb 24 and was allocated a number of 72 out of 52.

We are keen to apply for the upcoming Oct 2024 BTO launch and are preparing a new HFE letter. The only way to ‘renew’ the HFE letter is to cancel the existing SBF application and HFE letter and reapply for a new one.

Can I ask if cancelling the existing SBF will incur any penalty (number out of supply) or how do I got about renewing for a new HFE.

HDB hasn’t responded to me since I emailed them 2-3 Weeks ago. Hopefully someone here could help.

You should call HDB up to find out but from my understanding it should not have any penalty although I am not 100% sure on this. Read More
