Hi Allan, if you are planning to use the sale proceeds of the old unit to fund the BTO unit, then you will be required to sell off the present unit first before HDB will release the keys to you. You will be given a time frame to sell off your current flat within 6 months from key collection date but if you require funds from the sale to finance your BTO purchase, I am afraid you have to sell it off before key collection.

Hi,

You can actually sell within 6 months after key collection to BTO, but since you need the sales proceeds to fund the BTO purchase, you have to sell before they will permit key collection. Thanks and may I assist with your housing plans further so to value-add further?
