Hi, my Muslim dad who was the sole owner passed away. The shares were divided according to Syariah Law. Currently, the plan is to transfer the ownership under joint tenant to my mother, me and my siblings. I want to know if I do become an owner, would I be subjected to the minimum occupation period or could I just remove my name from the ownership and immediately apply for a HDB flat. Thank you.
