Hi,

my husband and I would like to buy a HDB Resale flat from the open market. However, he currently has his name in a private condo which he had invested. How can we buy a HDB resale flat? Does he have to sell away the private condo first before we can buy a Resale HDB?

Also, will we have to incur any ABSD?

Good day Madam .

As per your question , your family cannot buy a resale hdb unless your husband sell his condo , your husband can sell his condo latest by 6months after collecting key to the resale hdb .

No ABSD payable .

Hi Mdm,

Yes, you can purchase a HDB resale flat together with your husband. He need not sell off his condo first before the HDB purchase.

However, he will required to dispose off his interest in his private property within 6 months completion of the HDB flat purchase.

For purchase of HDB flat, as long as either one of you are Singapore Citizen, there will be no ABSD involved. There will only be ABSD (5%) if both of you are SPRs.
