Hi, My husband and I are Malaysian SPR (more than 3 yrs), we have CPF OA Account 35K with very limited cash in hand (+/-30K). Questions: 1) we just came back to work in Malaysia since MAY 2013 and OCT 2013 as we had back to Malaysia for work for about 1.5 years. Are we still eligible for bank home loan? Is there any rules set that one must be continuously to work in SG with certain period in order to get approved home loan? 2) we are looking for a 3 room flat with utility room in central area (i.e. Macpherson), budget is 320K, is that possible in current market? Thank you.

Morning, With $35k CPF OA, it's unlikely to purchase any HDB resale unit. Being SPR, you will need $16k in cash for ABSD and $29k for the cash downpayment (after deducting $35k from your CPF) when you get 80% loan from Bank, not forgetting $7100 for your legal and stamp fee.
