hi, my hdb mop is 1 dec 2012, i chk with hdb if i can market or advertise my hdb flat at bedok earlier , the hdb staff say i can, as long as the agreement date is after 1 dec 2012.
That mean can i market my house now, as its 4 months away from 1 dec but the agreement is after 1 dec?
let say the buyer wants to buy, they have to wait sept, oct, nov and dec. then completion around feb.

am i able to do it?

please advise experts

Evening,

Technically, this can be done. The submission date for your transaction have to be after your MOP date. By doing this, you faces a few issues:

Buyers with HLE would expire by then. They may no longer have the ability to proceed with the transaction if their loan application do not go through due to poor credit record.

Buyers with bank loan would have their LO signed and funds would have being dispersed prior to completion of the unit. Hence buyer will start paying for the unit even before they became the official owners.

What is the hurry behind this sale? Do you foresee that prices will drop drastically or you have some significant issues for you to look towards this sale in a hurry?

As mentiond by the HDB officer and my 2 fellow professionals, you are able to do it, but I do not think any buyer will be waiting for your unit or is willing to enter into any form of sales agreement with you prior to MOP.
