Good afternoon,

I believe your friend will be planning to sell and purchase another flat? If so, yes it will be good to have a full idea of all the numbers for early planning so that we can help you to understand whether the sale & purchase is feasible. This is avoid nasty surprises down the road where you find yourself stuck and unable to purchase the next flat, and yet legally obligated to sell off your place.

Care to share whats your friend's concern? If not your friend can use the HDB calculator to calculate himself if he's not comfortable to share this info.

Dear sir/mdm,

Your friend has no obligations to allow the agent to see the CPF balance, however, in the event that the numbers given to the agent is wrong and resulting in miscalculation of sales proceeds, then agent cannot be held responsible for the error if it is due to the wrong figures provided.

For selling assignment, usually we will not request to see the balance amount, but rather, to go to the section of housing where we will be able to see the amount of CPF funds used for the property as well as the accrued interest. Hope that helps.
