Recently saw the news that we can appeal to hdb. Is it worth to go for resale instead? Looking at getting canberra area as near to our parents. How shld we go abt it? Hi,

1) Suggest you study carefully the implication of opting out from the signed agreement.

2) You can find the process of cancellation and penalty imposed after cancel a flat application in the link below under:
"Steps to cancel new flat application":
https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/buying-a-flat/new/buying-process/changes-and-cancellation

3) I would like to highlight that not only you would lose 5% of the flat purchase, you are also not entitled to any grant if you purchase a resale flat within a year.

4) I understand the frustration of waiting for another 4 years before your BTO can be ready, but highlighted by the PropertyGuru response on this is that you have to pay a higher price to get a resale flat this day.

5) You discuss with your fiance over the implication, penalty, and cost before you make a decision.
You may call me for a chat or a zoom session to discuss your option.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
