Hi, my dad and I are looking to get a resale flat. My dad is currently away from SG. If I am to list him as the occupier and myself, as the owner, is he required to sign any documents or can I execute the purchase of flat on my own? Thank you!

Hi Sir
To name him as the occupier, your dad need not be around in Singapore. You can execute the purchase transaction by yourself. However do note that HDB might need certain documents in the form of soft copy such as his NRIC or payslip. I n addition, if you are applying for PHG grant, HDB might also requite him to log into his singpass for acknowledgement. I am specialise in HDB transactions.
