Hi,

Me and my wife both are PR. We are willing to buy an HDB here in Singapore now. However there is an apartment which I have purchased last year in my home country (possession of that apartment will be next year). In this case how do I buy an HDB in Singapore? I believe there is a rule prohibiting me from doin so. However on HDB website they also say that this rule is flexible. Can you please guide me how do I go about this? What are my options? Do I have to sell that property before buying an HDB apartment here? Even if I do so, will I have to wait for 30 months after that? Kindly help.

Thanks.

Regards,

Evening,

Being PR, you are eligible to purchase resale flat, using Bank loan. Under HDB regulation, you are to sell away your private property within 6 month from key collection of your HDB unit. The 30 months is only applicable if you are buying New HDB unit, which is totally not applicable to your case.
