You and your spouse must be PR for at least 3 years individually as joint occupants. You could alternatively consider private property. Unfortunately no, each SPR applicant must hold SPR status for at least 3 years and must be legally married to apply. If your plans are urgent, you may want to consider a condo instead. Thanks and hope it clarifies.
