Hi, it would be more advisable for you to engage an agent to assist you further instead of liaising with the seller agent all by yourself. Few pointers to note will be as a seller agent, he or she will be more obligated to side the seller more and thus will never be on the same page as you or to even try to lower the asking price as per your expectation. HDB do not publish valuation records. You may wish to engage an agent to assist you to check via our database.

You do not need to pay any commission to the seller's agent as he or she will be collecting commission from the seller. However, you may wish to appoint an agent to represent and protect your interest in the price negotiation process as well as to do up all the necessary paperwork and guide you through the process.
