Morning Kate,

Both of you can purchase under non-citizen spouse scheme. If this is your first time purchasing HDB unit, you will be eligible for HDB loan and $15k housing grant. As for how much cash is required, it would depends on how much loan you can get (based on your credit record, income status and age), how much CPF you have at hand, and your purchase price. Pricing units of 5 room flat in Jurong Wast varies from Jurong West, but the estimated pricing is around $540k to $680k.

Hi Kate,

Downpayment will be 10% of the purchase price, this can be borne by CPF (no cash outlay if you have enough CPF).

As for HDB loan, you are eligible for it as one party is a Singaporean. Apply for HLE so you will know how much loan you can obtain. (link provided below)

Total cash outlay will depend whether do you need to pay COV, enough CPF to cover the 10% downpayment, agent's fees, HDB willing to grant you 90% loan etc.

COV is depends on which part of Jurong west, floor level and house condition thus its pretty hard to advise you on.
