Dear prospective tenant,
There is no standard service fees applicable in our line of work but subjected to negotiation between the client and the salesperson. 7% GST is only applicable if the agency which the salesperson represents is a GST registered company.
Having said that, it is usually an industry practise for salesperson to charge 0.5 months worth of rental as the service fees for 12 months lease or below and 1 month worth of rental for leases between 12-24 months, nevertheless, due to market adjustments, I have encountered more cases where 1 month worth of rental fees charged for 12 months lease or below and 2 months worth of rental fees for 12-24 months rental.
