Hi,

There is no income ceiling applicable for buyers buying resale EC that has met the MOP of 5 years. They are also not required to fulfil another MOP. The resale EC is considered semi privatized and can only be bought by Singaporean or SPR buyers.

Hi, there is no MOP for buyer purchasing a resale EC but there is seller stamp duty payable if you would like to sell the unit before the 3rd year.

Good evening buyer,

buying a resale EC is unlikely buying a resale HDB.

You are buying as if its a private property. You WONT have to fulfill any restriction like income ceiling ($14k for new EC) or 5 years MOP (resale HDB or new EC).

But do take note that seller's stamp duty period will still be applicable.

If you sell your property within first 3 years of ownership, these are the rates:

1) 1st year: 12%
2) 2nd year: 8%
3) 3rd year: 4%

Hi,

Resale ECs are considered as private properties. There is no income ceiling, and there is also no need to serve a 5-year MOP.

One thing to take note though, is that if you're a foreigner, you can only purchase a resale EC that has past the 10th year mark from TOP date. If you're a SPR, you can only purchase a resale EC that has past the 5-year mark.

All resale EC are considered private property transactions. HDB restrictions on EC are for the 1st purchasers only.

The only restriction for 5 years MOP EC purchasers is purchaser must be Singaporean and or Permanent Resident only. Foreigners can only buy after 10 years MOP is up.
