Hi I'm plan to renouncing my PR status. But my HDB 4-room flat MOP only fulfil in 2026 ? Does anyone share me what should I do for my HDB unit before completing 5 year MOP but I'm no longer SPR ? And what are the HDB procedure for my above cases ??

Hi, usually In cases like this , the hdb flat will be sold back to hdb at a price determined by them, if you need more assistance, perhaps you can contact me and I can assist you on this.

Such cases do not have a standard protocol. First of all, you will need to inform HDB about your renouncing of SPR status, rendering you ineligible to hold on to your HDB ownership. They will advise you from there moving forward.

Hi,

Upon official renouncing of SPR status, HDB will deem you are ineligible to keep the flat and have to surrender the flat to them at a discounted price to market value. Suggest to hold out a while more if possible, you can fetch a better price with sale in the open market.

Hi,

1) When you renounce your SPR status and no immediate family members are eligible to take over the flat.
2) There will be 2 possible situations that could happen:
(a) The HDB will take the HDB back at 90% of your purchase price or 80& of the market rate whichever is lower.
(b) You managed to appeal to get approval to sell in the open market within 6 months.
