Hi , I'm own HDB flat from resale market at Mid of August 2009 , I'm planning to buying another Condo , Can I do that ?? should I sell out my HDB unit after buying Condo ?? any ruling need to take note if I own DHB & Condo ?? Thanks , Jonathan See .

Hi Jonathan,

You are eligible to purchase a condo as your resale HDB has fulfill the MOP applicable of at least 2 1/2 years if you purchased it with a HDB loan, or 1 year if you purchased with bank loan.

In fact, if your HDB is fully paid and you have the holding power to hold on to it and purchase a condo, I will encourage you to do. But if you dont have and eager to purchase a condo, I think you should sell.

okay, if you are not a PR buying a second property, you wont be subject to additional buyer stamp duty.
