Good morning,

Gary can purchase a resale HDB with his spouse. He just need to dispose his interest in the overseas property by transferring over to his sister or sell it off within 6 months after completion date will do.

Both of them can apply HLE (HDB loan) or AIP (bank loan) to find out how much loan can they obtain based on their combined income.

Your brother can get a mortgage loan with his partner for the purchase of resale HDB unit. However, he will need to remove his ownership status within 6 months from key collection of the HDB unit.
