Hi, I'm a Singaporean currently overseas but looking to buy a HDB soon as I'm planning to return. I am interested to know how Gross Monthly Household Income is calculated for income earned overseas and what is the eligibility criteria to qualify for any HDB grant based on foreign income assessment. Can't seem to find any explanation, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Afternoon,

If you are single, aged 35 and above, you are eligible for single scheme. Income will be based on your basic gross income, excluding the allowance. The income cap for HDB loan is at $6k.

Hi Mr Khalis,
Every Singapore citizen is eligible for one time grant, the amount depends on single or couple (both Singapore citizen). The basic grant is 15k for single who are age 35 and above or 30k for married couple.
If you are buying a resale HDB falt, there is no income ceiling but HDB loan will be affect.

To assist and advice more in details, kindly drop me an email for me to share.

I can be contactable at my mobile or email.

Hi,

You are eligible under the single scheme if you're 35 and above.
Loan assessment can be derived from bankers. If you do not have any preferred banker, perhaps you could try contacting my network of bankers and they will advise of your loan quantum. Let's take 1 thing at a time for me to advise further! Thanks!
