hi, if my dad going to remove his name from the HDB and put my name in it. Do i have to wait for 5 years to buy private property or if the HDB house is under my name only can my wife buy a private property?

What's the purpose of your dad doing that? To utilise your CPF funds to pay for the existing loan?

Hi james,

HDB is govern by HDB rules.
For example, you cannot be the sole owner of HDB if you have a family nucleus with your wife. And if you transfer ownership to yourself, they will consider it as a new HDB under your name. Means 5 years MOP applies.
